Happy New Year Survival Kit Gift in a Jar 2020
Happy New Year Survival Kit Gift in a Jar 2020 This year all three of the kids are attending a new school – that’s three new schools, three new schedules and brand new teachers to go around. It’s been a HUGE transition for all of us and I am so grateful to the teachers who’ve helped us weather the change. So, when I learned about World Market’s Share the Joy program aimed and celebrating everyday heroes this holiday season, I couldn’t wait to partner with them on a sponsored post to create a unique gift to celebrate the hard work and effort of the teachers in our lives.
One of my favorite products at World Market are the oversized storage jars. They’re great for storing everything from food to toys and I love to use them when entertaining. Instead of creating a traditional gift basket for our teachers, I decided to create a survival kit for the coming year in this gallon storage jar.
We had loads of fun wandering the isles of World Market to come up with fun ideas for our survival jar. Our first stop was to the holiday gift basket area at the front of the store to pick up some filler. I love this stuff. It adds just the right dimension and texture to gift packaging.
Once we had our filler, it was time to select items for our teacher’s survival this coming year. Here are a few of the items we picked up…
Twig Colored Pencils (to help write wrongs + brighten days)
Talk Bubble Paperclips + Bamboo Clothespins (to keep it all together)
Notebook + Sticky Notes (to keep track of good ideas)
Chewing Gum (to help stick to it)
Lotion (for a smooth start)
Tissues (to dry tears)
Chocolate (for emergencies)
By the time we left the store we were in a total fit of giggles laughing at our own clever ideas. If you want to join in on the fun, feel free to download the oversized New Year Survival Kit gift tag I created…Just right click and save.
Once we got everything home, our jar was relatively easy to assemble. I really wanted to decorate the jar simply, so we just added a touch of vinyl featuring our survival kit “logo” cut on the Cricut Explore.
We’re looking forward to gifting our teacher survival kits this week, but the great thing about these jars is they make great last-minute gifts. You can even give a New Year Survival Kit after the first of the year! The best part of World Market’s Share the Joy program, is that you can participate too!
